1.       Math Club is back on today at lunch in room 238!  This is a mandatory meeting to ensure that you sign up for the next Math Contest.

2.       Last night the senior girls’ volleyball team hosted Barrie North in their final home game of the season.  With a combination of injuries, jobs, and last minute illnesses, our lady Bucs took to the court with only 6 players. But man, did those players play their asymptotes off!  Great defensive digs by CC Clubine-Piggot, and Addison Kilfoyle kept the rallies going while Kaitlyn Heffern put in a mature setting game plan with experienced set distributions throughout the match.  Within the five-set thriller, Alexa Geertsma rose head and shoulders above Barrie North with her soaring back court attacks and vertical while Hannah Murphy connected on some huge middle attacks coupled with some huge blocks kept all the set scores close.  And who can forget Siobhan Kilpatrick, making her final home start as a senior, but instead of playing libero as she had her entire career, she stepped onto the floor as a middle and served and hit like she had done it the whole time.  Great game ladies.  It was so nice to watch you have fun and work together on the court even if we came out on the short end of the score.  Playoff game is set for Monday at Eastview Secondary School. Best of luck!

3.       Hey Bucs! Week of Love starts next week and we're all excited to introduce some of our favourite events like Matchmaker and crush for a crush, as well as new games like toonie tossing.  Be sure to listen to the announcements for more details of what event will be happening each day.  Starting on Monday, student council will be selling Roses and Crush sodas. Roses will be selling for $3 for 1 Rose and $5 for 2 Roses. Crush Soda will be $1 per can.

4.       Come to room 224 at lunch today to sign up to represent a country at the Model United Nations competition on April 17. At the competition, you will debate students from around the board about important world issues. The Model UN club is open to students from every grade, so come and check us out in room 224 at lunch today.
