person 1: Why is the English department the only team of teachers signed up for the inside ride?   person 2: Wow you're right It’s been a while since I've see the math or science department at the inside ride, there isn't even a gym team!    person 1: Come on teachers what are you waiting for! are you going to let the English department win for another year? this is more than a competition for farthest distance it is now a battle between departments! and what about you students? get your own inside ride team ready! forms are in guidance!

Attention Bucs!                                                                                                                                                                        Sign ups for the 75th Anniversary trip to Juno Beach to Europe next June 2019 are well under way.  30 students have already reserved their spots, so that means only 10 spots remain! 

If you are planning on signing up, or would like more information, please see Ms. Armstrong or Ms. Lane in the History office.  

Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime trip!

                                                                                                                                                                    Hey bucs, remember to show some awesome school spirit and character traits because you might be able to earn a positive ticket. A positive ticket is a ticket your teacher will give you for maybe trying your best or even helping out a friend! Just drop the ticket in the box in the office for a chance to win a weekly prize !!!

There will be a brief meeting at the very beginning of lunch in the Drama room for all the cast and crew of 4 AM. The meeting will be brief, so please arrive promptly. We need to discuss the next steps with regards to our show. So all the cast and crew of 4AM need to meet in the drama room at the very beginning of lunch. See you all there.

Jean E Pendziwol is a published Canadian Author and she is coming to BDHS to present to our students! 

Ms. Pendziwol has written many children's books including No Dragons for Tea: Fire Safety for Kids (and Dragons) recently featured by McDonald's Canada in their Happy Meal literacy campaign, and Once Upon a Northern Night which was shortlisted for the Governor General's Literary Awards.   Her debut adult novel, The Lightkeeper's Daughters was released last July and became an instant Globe and Mail bestseller. It will be released in 16 other countries in 13 languages over the next couple of years.

If you are interested in attending a presentation by Ms. Pendziwol during the school day on Monday March 26 in the Learning Commons, please speak with Ms. Stewart or Ms. Sparks.

 

This is a reminder that the TIPS will be running after school in Room 123 beginning at 2:45.

The photography club meet for today has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.  We will meet Friday in room 133 at lunch for all those able.

Attention all lady BUCS who are interested in playing soccer this spring. If you missed the meeting on Tuesday, please stop by room 173 today at the start of lunch to sign up.  Let’s go BUCS!!
