COPPER CUP HOCKEY GAMEhttp://bdh.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/509COPPER CUP HOCKEY GAME<p><em>On Wednesday, November 29</em><em><sup>th</sup></em><em>, the COPPER CUP is coming the BWG Rec Centre.</em></p><p><em>What is the Copper Cup, you ask?  It is a hockey game between the South Simcoe Police and the students of both BDHS and Holy Trinity.  But it is also more than a hockey game.  </em></p><p><em>The Copper Cup is a fundraiser to support the Bradford Helping Hands Food Bank.   It is also an opportunity for you BUY-IN and attend the game during the school day!  Celebrity NHL ref Ron Hogarth will be refereeing. There will be snacks, some significant prizes, including autographed NHL Jerseys, some valued at over a thousand dollars!  Copper Cup ads will be coming to local media soon.</em></p><p><em>The game will be played between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday November 29</em><em><sup>th</sup></em><em>, and tickets are limited!</em></p><p><em>You can get a ticket by donating a food item or cash at the booth in the BDHS Foyer this Friday, Monday or Tuesday, while tickets last.   More information can be found on marigold coloured posters around the school.</em></p><p><em>So bring in a food bank item and exchange it starting Friday for your buy-in ticket to the COPPER CUP 2017.</em></p><p><em></em> </p><p><a href="/Documents/Copper%20Cup%20Ad%202017.pdf"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><font color="#0066cc">Copper Cup Ad 2017</font></span></a></p><p> </p>

November 23rd Announcementshttp://bdh.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/511November 23rd Announcements<p>​</p><ol><li>Heeey Bucs, The copper cup is so soon and what better way to get in spirit than to wear your sports jersey! The 29th will be sports jersey/ BDHS day! So wear your favourite sports shirt or blue and white and enjoy the game!  Remember bring a food item on Friday and exchange in the foyer at lunch for a ticket.</li><li>It looks like a winter wonderland outside! Ha Ha - funny enough that's the theme of this year's semi formal! That's right Bucs - semi will be on December 8<sup>th</sup>.  This year's theme is winter wonderland! Tickets will be sold from November 27 to December 6 at a starting price of $15 which will only increase as the week goes on so get your tickets quick!</li><li>If you have signed up to participate in the university/college application work period, please come to <strong>room 220</strong> at the <strong>start</strong> of period 3 <strong>TODAY</strong>.  Attendance will be taken there.</li><li>This week in the library there will be a box set up. You will be able to write positive messages and put them in the box. At the end of the next week, there will be a display put up with all the positive messages people have written. We encourage you to write a message and brighten someone's day! Try to find the display next week to see your message up on the wall!</li><li>Hey Bradford Bucs - Dryland training is tonight for those interested in ski racing this season. Beginners are welcome.  Meet after school in the large gym.  Sign up for recreation ski and snowboarding programs continues Thursday at lunch with Ms. Clubine in the large gym.  If you are a skier and snowboarder and want some fun on the hills, come sign up!</li><li>Junior Band has rehearsal today at lunch in the music room. See you there!</li><li>Are you looking for a unique gift for someone?  If so, check out the Puzzle Lamps, Sculptures and Ornaments being made by BDHs Technological Design class.  Samples are on display in the Technology showcase in the main hall.  You can also contact Ms. Perryman at lunch or after school in room 141 for more information.</li><li>From boys basketball.  This is a reminder to everyone about the junior and senior boys basketball tournament we are hosting in our large gym tomorrow.  If you have the opportunity, come out and support your Bucs.  The juniors play their first game at 8:15 and the seniors play their first game at 10:45.  Mr. Malley is still waiting on some volunteers to return their forms, and he is waiting on a lot of players to return their forms and money.  He is away this morning, but will be back this afternoon. Club please come to an extra meeting today at the start of lunch in Room 216. Please be dressed and ready to go on the court at this time. If for some reason you are unable to attend today, please see Ms. Carson at some point today before practice.  Again, varsity girls volleyball tryouts resume tonight after school in the large gym at 2:45. Mr. Wilson will be back in time to run the tryout at this time. </li><li>Hey BDHS!
